Good morning everyone,
Well I new here and just a little about me.
My Wife and I bought our retirement place in Buffalo TX this winter and have been working on it during weekends. I plan on retiring from my Job as a Federal LEO in under four years. Our place is a small ranch, of 104 acers with and old Farm house built in 1950. The house is in good shape, As far as the land its fenced and cross fenced, 60 acers of cleared land and 44 of solid woods and home to lots of Piggy's!
I set up a bait hole a few months ago and been hunting regularly. So far this year I've killed 31 Pigs off my place this year, my last one was this weekend in my side yard rooting where the septic lateral lines flow. She was a juvenile sow about 80 pounds I shot with my 12 gauge over and under with 00 buck shot. Since I'm new to night hunting I decided to start out cheep, I started out with a Gen 1 monocular and a green light on a AR with a 1x6 Strike eagle, so far its worked ok. A few weeks ago I traded for an ATN X-Sight II 5x20 with a upgraded illuminator and then bought a Sightmark Signal 320RT digital handheld. I haven't had a chance to sight the X-Sight in yet, but used the Signal this weekend and it is quit and an upgrade over the gen-1 I'm using. I plan on getting a thermal but I need a shop built and a Tractor more than a thermal right now.

Thanks and Stay Safe Everyone!

Glad I found the site. I'm heading out to the ranch Thursday evening for a long weekend. I'm going to try out my new ATN X-sight II and Sightmark Signal 320RT digital hand held. I hope its overcast all night so I can see how well they work. I've tried them both with the full moon this last week and I'm really impressed.
I'm going to put out some corn soaked in strawberry soda in my Piggy hole and a few old watermelons that have gone sour in hopes to draw them out of the woods.
Wish everyone a Safe and Productive week and weekend.

Get a thermal and don't look back armasight or pulsar .You can write the thermal off taxes for protecting your property. With that many hogs you will be glad you did.
