Man that scope seems like a lot of magnification I had a Zeus 75mm 320 core I believe it was listed at 5X the FOV was tight at ranges less than 100 yards. That said it was wicked nice at longer ranges.

I kind of wish FLIR would have made a 25mm or 35mm model instead of jumping from 19mm to 50mm and then 75mm lens.

no complaints from me on Flir 736.. i like it.. Most my hunting is in the Northwest, but im not limited to here only.. i did a little test, i could be wrong... FOV from target spots at 100yds 12feet, 200 yds 24 feet and 300yds was 36 feet...no adjustment on scope..Base magnification.. Ill be down this weekend in Texas for a hunt.100 yards.jpeg IMG021.jpeg

Man with that lens you should get great ID on critters at long ranges ;

Field test- scope held zero, battery life excellent, image clarity great... theses hogs 400 yards away... 80 yards and out it shines

Still learning curve..I think it will work just fine for me. 85 yards on boar and 150 yard shot on Sow..Sorry no tape measure. Both are big.. you can see alot.. I could see a coyote at 350 no problem...it was a good night

Did you have to study the Coyote for a bit to determine what it was or could you see it clearly right away?

Thanks

The 736 is a good scope. The only pts series I would consider owning at the moment are the 736 and the breach. The 736 has too much magnification for 90% of hunters though in my opinion it's for a very niche group.

my friend spotted it first, once i swung to where it was at. No problem telling what it was.. i did record him walking thru pasture. if you would hit zoom im sure u wouldnt have to study long.

Well said.. your opinion is greatly honored. Consider owning is good enough for me. But the deal sealer was the video comparison of the two units at 80 yards. i got old eyes. i want to be able to see more. Im in the northwest area of USA... Can a person wit the pts 736 come to Texas and kill hogs.. it still baffles me why in the world, Big Hog at 50 yards and its the second shot taken on the run... love your videos keep em coming
