So basically the way I read and understand currently these are the dates that the forms were submitted or the dates the ATF cashed the checks?
Also, trust are showing to be 11-12mo wait still while Individual is 4-5 mo wait?

Those are submission dates. Currently individual forms are going faster but that is going to change soon. The trusts are going to catch up fast.

We are seeing approvals from checks cashed the first part of July. Once they get through July approvals then wait times will drop like a rock. I suspect that people buying now will see about a 4-5 month wait or less. I'm willing to bet money that the ATF wait times drop to 30 days by the end of the year.

Almost the end of the year Jeremy. Are you losing money? lol what are we looking at for current wait times?

Well we are down to 120 days. So that is a big improvement. I don't think they are going to make the 30 days. I'm still holding out hope that they will get there soon.

I purchased 4 silencers from you guys (using Individual Form 4s, at a kiosk) and the Forms were submitted October 19th, 2017, and all 4 checks were cashed November 21st. The cans are sitting at the dealer (just had a conjugal visit).

So are you saying I'm looking at between Valentine's Day and mid March for approval? Hahahaha

This isn't my first NFA rodeo.... but the last time I bought stamps (about 6 or 7 years ago), the wait was waaaay shorter....

I would say you are about right on the time. I would hope that it comes back faster.

The graph shows checks cashed 5/17 have 120 days to approval for form 4 trust. Either I'm reading the graph incorrectly or that is an estimate at best. My check was cashed 5/17 and my form 4 trust is still pending. I'm currently at double that estimated wait time.

We are seeing forms approved in June and July. That doesn't mean that you are behind just the front of what we are seeing. Also there is a trend that if the trust has a lot of trustees then it is taking longer. The FBI seems to be the bottle neck at the moment.

Figured I'd fill in everyone on my current experience and situation. Submission June 15 2017, ATF cashed check July 5th.......Still waiting over 240 days now!!

ATF stamps have come in. Silencers are in my hand. About 9 mo turn around. I consider that unacceptable.

Added some more suppressors to the collection today using silencer shop for the first time. I was very impressed with the customer service, especially on such a busy day. Thank you.

Well, another month has come and gone. So much for that prediction. The NFA game has always required patience...

jeremy! Looks like the form 4s for trusts are coming back at 300ish days currently. Do you see this being expedited any going forward? Also, any upcoming sales on Q trash panda, or thunder chicken?

HWynne, I don't think Jeremy is with Silencer shop anymore. I was told he isn't when I called about 2 weeks ago. I had great customer service from him and assure you it stopped there. I just happened to call the ATF after several months to check status of my form 4 and was transferred to an auditors desk. Turns out the ATF had left messages and sent letters to Silencer shop with no response. The man at the ATF told me he had plans to disapprove my application that very day. I called Silencer shop and they blamed my dealer. I called my dealer and said Silencer shop received all docs from him via docusign. Called Silencer shop back and was later copied on email with corrected forms attached sent to ATF from rep at SS. 2 weeks later called SS to ask if the $50 transfer fee was included in what I'd already paid (it had been 13 months and I forgot). I was told pretty rudely, "we don't do transfers". Picked up the suppressor a few days ago and my dealer tells me the fee was in fact included already. I'm already thinking of another can on my bolt gun and no doubt will NOT go through Silencer shop again. They seem to be a "pass the buck" or "transfer the call to the next guy" type place now. All they had to do was say, "yes sir you are right we missed something on the form you paid us to handle and we will take care of it now". Instead they played the finger pointing game and treated me like I was bothering them by calling. I suppose they could have responded to the ATF's attempts to contact them back in March too though. Or, am I asking for too much for my money?
