Barnes 120gr TSX @ 2955 FPS absolutely destroyed this Coyote at 75 yards and this Coon at 275 yards.
Need to get a hog on the ground with this round! Stay tuned!

Been using the Barnes TSX line of bullets in several different chamberings for quite some time now.
My favorite load combo is a 130gr TSX coming out of my Rem SPS TAC chambered in 308Win. It performs great on hogs and deer at just under 3000fps. The 110gr TSX are great also for the higher speeds and the further ranges.
I would guarantee that your combo will perform great, especially at the further ranges and IF you hit bone going in. The true test would be on a hog at 50 or 75yds. I would guess that the TSX would shed at least one petal if not two. Of course, they would do their own damage.
I would be surprised if this combo would ever fail to exit a hog unless he was huge, the range was ultra close, and you put it square on his shoulder.
Good hunting and let us know what you find out about that bullet. --- pruhdlr
Added: I have also found that the TSX line of bullets seem to be more accurate seated back off the lands more than most bullets.

Ah no wound pic! That was some expert shooting though very nice trigger control.
The wound pic was covered by the coyote. Don't want People Eating Tasty Animals coming after me. Shooting prone always my most stable position. Thanks.

Popped a 135 lbs Boar last night at 85 yards dropped like a sack of potatoes. Exit wound was just over .80" diameter. STELLAR BULLET. Running Berger tonight. But the Barnes hands down favorite so far.

Also,if you give Barnes a call, they will tell you the "optimal" opening velocity for that TSX. I would not think that they are moving too fast though.
Remembering . . . their "optimal opening" is just that. --- pruhdlr
